Privacy policy

DC Belgium is aware that appropriate processing of personal data is an indispensable aspect of privacy law. To guarantee this right, this statement sets out what happens to your data.

The purpose of data processing

DC Belgium may process your personal data if you use the services of DC Belgium and/or if you provide these to DC Belgium yourself when filling in a contact form on the website. As a result, we will process your name and address, contact details and IP address. We do this in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This means that we only use your data for the purpose of contacting you, the administration of this data and that we protect your data against infringement by third parties.

Security

DC Belgium will not retain your details for longer than is strictly necessary and for as long as we are required by law to do so. After this period, we will delete your data. We may exchange your data with other parties. We do this via secure systems and only when necessary. Our employees will only consult your data if this is necessary for the performance of their tasks. In addition to our own people, we have also engaged ICT suppliers for the maintenance and management of our information provision. We have carefully selected these suppliers and made clear agreements with them about confidentiality and security. If, despite our measures, it should happen that third parties gain unauthorised access to your data, we will report this to you and the Personal Data Authority.

Website analysis

The website of DC Belgium records general visiting data, including the IP address of your computer and the time of retrieval and data sent by your browser. This data is used for analyses of visiting and clicking behaviour on the website. DC Belgium uses this information to improve the functioning of the website. This data is made anonymous as much as possible and is not passed on to third parties.

Rights

You have the right to access your personal data. If your details are found to be incorrect, you have the right to have them corrected or deleted by us. It may happen that it is not possible to (fully) comply with a request (for example, if your inspection leads to an invasion of the privacy of others). Should you wish to inspect your details, please contact DC Belgium.  DC Belgium will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.

Complaints

Should you have any complaints or compliments about the way we handle your data, please contact DC Belgium. If you are unable to resolve your complaint with DC Belgium, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Authority.
